The Utica Preservation Association, Inc., a 501(c) (3), non-profit community organization, is proud of our small town legacy. A town of approximately 1100 people, is comprised of neighborhoods known as Old Utica, Longview Beach, Upper River, High Meadows, Fox Run and Glenbrook.
It is an Ohio River town who's legacy lies in John Noble Wood, founder of the town, who established a ferry crossing, nearby the location of the new I-265 interstate bridge in Utica. During the late 1700's and early 1800's more than 30,000 flat-bottom boats disembarked at Utica, heading out to the new Northwest Territory, on the Old Salem Road. This road has out-lived it's expectations as it is now the first exit off the yet unnamed East End Bridge and has now become the Gateway to the fastest growing industrial park in the country, known as the River Ridge Commerce Park.
